A package of Mountaineer items donated by the Iron Mountain School District and Iron Mountain Athletic Booster Club for the Mike "Bondo" Bond Memorial Scholarship fundraiser on Saturday.

IRON MOUNTAIN — A fundraiser has been planned for the Mike “Bondo” Bond Scholarship from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Sol Blu in Iron Mountain.

The event will have a silent auction, 50-50s, raffles and food.

Money raised will go to establish a scholarship in memory of the 1990 Iron Mountain High School graduate, who passed away Aug. 12, 2024, after a battle with cancer.

They will award a scholarship each year to an IMHS graduate.

Those who would like to donate can make checks to “Mike ‘Bondo’ Memorial Scholarship” and mailed to Scholarship Administrator IMHS, Attn: Dawn Smith, 300 W. B St., Iron Mountain, MI 49801.
