IRON MOUNTAIN — Iron Mountain-Kingsford Kiwanis is celebrating its 100th anniversary in a big way by helping a family communicate.
The Kiwanis purchased Shannon Wilcox an iPad for her son, Brantlee, who is non-verbal and has a hard time communicating.
“We are so proud to help them improve their lives,” said Trisha Peterson of the Kiwanis.
“We presented the Wilcox family with the iPad, case and a iTunes gift card to get the apps he needs to communicate. Thanks to the Northwoods ABA Learning Center for referring this family to us,” she said.
The iPad Project for Autism has been one of their Wisconsin-Upper Michigan Kiwanis district projects for a long time, and they were happy to help.
