Senior Crafting Connections celebrates one-year anniversary

Senior Crafting Connections, a nonprofit created to promote intergenerational dialogue wtih local senior citizens, celebrated its one-year anniversary Sept. 28 by partnering with the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain to make cards for veterans in the community. The nonprofit, started by Thad, Renee and Emma Strom, has grown to include more than 15 high school students who regularly volunteer to craft and connect with residents at local nursing homes and assisted living centers in the community.
