IRON MOUNTAIN — Upcoming events at the Dickinson County Library will include:

— Crafty Creations — Gnomes for November: 10 to 11:30 a.m. today at the Solomonson Branch in Norway.

Attendees will get to make their own seasonal gnome decoration using fall-themed materials. To register, call 906-563-8617.

— Holiday Crafts for All: 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Felch Senior Center.

The evening craft event will get the whole family in the holiday spirit. Adults will make a frosted mason jar with tea lights, greenery and twine. Kids will make frosted ornaments out of the same decorations.

— Little Senses Playgroup: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

This playgroup is perfect for little hands to explore. Every month, the library have different stations designed to engage the child’s senses with fun activities like tactile bins, sensory bottles, fine motor activities and early literacy activities. This is a special time for young children to discover and play at their own pace. They ask that an adult stay to supervise. While this event is ideal for ages through 4, older siblings are welcome, too.

— Norway Book Club: 2 to 2:45 p.m. Thursday at the Solomonson Branch in Norway. This month’s discussion will be on “The Lost Bookshop” by Evie Woods.

The book club meets monthly at the Norway facility. New members are always welcome.

— Holiday Soiree: 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. Friday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain. Attendees must arrive before they close at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required and can be made by calling 906-774-1218.

Patrons of all ages are invited to this after-hours, family-friendly event to build gingerbread houses. Participants will use various food items to build houses. Prizes will be raffled off at the end of the event.

— Movie morning, “The Peanuts Movie”: 10 a.m. Saturday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Come spend your morning with the Peanuts gang. Each child will receive a goodie bag with “Peanuts”-themed items: dog tag necklace, sticker, pencils, temporary tattoos, bookmark and snack item. Headphones will be used so children can adjust their own volume and block out noise. Registration is required and can be made by calling 906-774-1218.

— Gamers’ Club: 3:15 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the North Dickinson Branch in Felch Township.

The program is a great afterschool activity for kids in third through eighth grades. Games such as Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. and Minecraft will be available.

— Wednesday, Nov. 26, the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain and Solomonson branches in Norway will close at 5 p.m. for the Thanksgiving holiday. All sites will remain closed until Friday, Nov. 28.
