Dealing with the stress of the holidays
IRON MOUNTAIN — Michigan State University Extension will offer a free online program, “Preparing for Holiday Stress Using Mindfulness.”
The five sessions take place at 2 p.m. each Tuesday, starting on Nov. 11 and going through Dec. 10.
“Preparing for Holiday Stress Using Mindfulness” will provide an opportunity to try a wide variety of strategies in mindfulness, leading to stress reduction and healthier living.
Some of the topics include begin with the breath, mindful eating, mindful walking and thought surfing, be kind to your mind and laughter is good medicine.
The program offers individuals information to be better prepared to navigate through this special time of the year.
