FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence County School District will honor veterans with a program starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the high school gymnasium.

The high band, under the direction of Robert Knox, will perform the national anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner.” Student council members Jackson Korff and Delaney Donahue will lead the “Pledge of Allegiance.”

Guest speaker will be Mario Zanoni, commander of American Legion Post 211 in Florence.

Elementary students will perform “Veterans, We’re So Proud of You” by Karl Hitzemann.

The gun salute will be done by members of the Florence chapters of VFW and the American Legion. Maniya Hippert and Luke Deterville will perform “Taps.”
