IRON MOUNTAIN — First National Bank & Trust kicked off the holiday season with a donation of new stuffed toys to Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson’s Emergency Department.

The donation is part of Operation Teddy Bear, a local charity drive conducted by First National Bank & Trust.

The charity collects new stuffed toys to be donated to area emergency, law enforcement and social services that then offer the toys to children in need of comfort.

Operation Teddy Bear is in its eighth year.

“Marshfield-Dickinson is honored to continue collaboration with the First National Bank team on the Bear Giveaway initiative. Thanks to their generous support, children who visit the Marshfield-Dickinson Emergency Department will receive a complimentary bear,” said Heather Marsicek, ED manager. “While the expert care they receive remains the focus of their visit, these bears offer an added sense of comfort and security during what can be a frightening experience. … Many thanks to First National Bank for this thoughtful and compassionate donation. Our patients and team appreciate you!”

Starting at $3.50/week.
