IRON MOUNTAIN — The First National Bank & Trust recently made a donation to Menominee River Habitat for Humanity, supporting the organization’s ongoing mission to serve local families in need.
First National Bank & Trust staff made financial donations to wear denim on designated days over the past three months. Last quarter, these “Denim Days” raised $1,030 for the organization.
Since 1994, Habitat for Humanity has built and renovated houses while improving neighborhoods to help create communities where people are able to live and grow to their full potential. They are proud to partner with veterans and their families to perform critical home repairs and accessibility renovations to ensure that they have a safe place to live.
There are three components to Habitat for Humanity to successfully accomplish their goal of eliminating substandard housing in the community. Those three components are partner families, volunteers and donors. There are also three programs they offer that include home ownership, neighborhood revitalization and the Habitat ReStore.
Habitat for Humanity is at 113 S. Milwaukee Ave. in Kingsford.
