Breakfast topic of story hour at the Crystal Falls Library

CRYSTAL FALLS — Marsha Wainio of the Iron Range Farm Bureau will lead a story hour about breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Crystal Falls District Community Library.

She will read the book “The Cow in Patrick O’Shanahan’s Kitchen,” by Diana Prichard. Children will learn all about how the breakfast arrived on the table. The children will then do a science and art activity based on the book.

They will get to eat a breakfast together with the foods mentioned in the tale: milk, oranges, French toast, and maple syrup.

With St. Patrick’s Day near, Dana Tadiello, the library’s regular story time leader, will also read a few St. Patrick’s Day selections. Each child will receive a book about St. Patrick’s Day or breakfast to add to their home library.

The library is at 237 Superior Ave. in downtown Crystal Falls. For more information, contact Evelyn Gathu at 906-875-3344 or egathu@crystalfallslibrary.org.

Starting at $3.50/week.
