Kingsford High School honors 2026 sophomore leadership nominees

KINGSFORD — Kingsford High School has announced its 2026 sophomore leadership nominees, a group of students recognized by high school faculty for their significant school involvement, strong academic records, and high character.

While the Michigan Youth Leadership — MyLead — Conference was unfortunately canceled late in the process this year, Kingsford High School still acknowledges the outstanding achievements of the students who were selected to attend.

These students demonstrate the “Flivver” spirit through their integrity and dedication to excellence. Those recognized include: Alaysa Bacon, Myla Beauchamp, Kyra Clement, Domenic Fredrickson, Avery Edwards, Kelsie Haelterman, Haylee Kasten, Chloe Lanning, Gianna Novara and Jade Span.

In addition, Persephone Donnelly, Lexi Gunville and Madison Miller have been selected to attend the Hugh O’Brian Youth — HOBY — Leadership Conference at Albion College, where they will focus on community service and social responsibility.

Emily Strickler will attend the Wisconsin Leadership Seminar–WILS — at Carroll University in June, a conference that fosters the growth of leadership skills, volunteerism, and community involvement to help students become successful, responsible contributors to society.

Kingsford High School strives to instill in all its students.
