Friends of the Florence Library accepting sale items for fundraiser
FLORENCE, Wis. — The Friends of the Florence Library will participate in the community rummage sale on Saturday, June 6, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall on Quinnesec Street in Florence.
The group is accepting non-clothing items through May 20 that can be dropped off at the library or scheduled for pick-up by calling librarian Stephanie Weber. Clothing and electronics will not be accepted.
Organization of sale items will begin on early May.
The Friends thanks those supporters who donated last year and hope the public will once again be generous for this year’s event.
For more information, contact Weber at 715-528-3094, Debbie DeMuri at 715-528-3597 or Renee Grunwald of Spread Eagle at 605-963-2946.
This is the only fundraiser the Friends hosts each year to support programming, purchasing of books and media, restocking five Little Free Libraries around the county and other activities, such as monthly craft kits for youngsters coming to the library and the summer reading program.
Those who would like to become a member of the Friends group should contact the county librarian. Everyone is welcome to join the organization.
The Friends of the Florence Library will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at the library.
