IRON RIVER — The Iron County Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 7, in the J. Patrick White conference room at West Iron District Library in Iron River.

Wendy Graham will give a presentation on Alvin, Wis., which will include information on Alvin Spencer, whom the town is named after, along with his family and the town’s history. She will have memorabilia, family photos and town photos.

Members are reminded that dues were payable Jan. 1.

Visitors are welcome and meetings are open to all individuals each month at the West Iron District Library.
