Knights of Columbus hosts 2026 free throw contest

NEGAUNEE — The Knights of Columbus recently had its 2026 Free Throw Contest for boys and girls ages 9 through 14 years old.

Locally, Council 3082 Crystal Falls, 1585 Iron Mountain-Kingsford and 9532 Norway-Vulcan participated with students from Forest Park, Kingsford, Iron Mountain, Bishop Baraga, Norway-Vulcan and Holy Spirit schools.

On Feb. 28, the first-place winners from the three councils participated in a district competition hosted by North Dickinson School District. The winners then went on to participate at the Diocesan/Regional Competition in Negaunee on March 8.
