NAPS plans treasure hunt this weekend
NORWAY — The Norway Area Preservation Society will sponsor a treasure hunt for children up to age 10 this weekend to celebrate Earth Day.
To encourage children to get outdoors, one green plastic egg will be hidden in four different parks in the Norway-Vulcan area on Saturday and Sunday.
The children who find a green egg can redeem it at the Swedish Passport Shop in Norway for a bucket of “treasure.”
The NAPS asks that each child only takes one winning egg.
Parks will include Strawberry Lake Park, picnic area; Marion Park, playground area; Hanbury Lake Park, playground/picnic area; and the playground at Seventh Avenue and U.S. 2.
