Seven new graduates from LSSU’s Escanaba/IM center

Graduates achieved their degrees through LSSU’s Escanaba/Iron Mountain Regional Center, which offers baccalaureate degree programs for students on Bay College campuses. Graduates are invited to participate in LSSU’s commencement ceremony May 2 on the main campus in Sault Ste. Marie.
Graduating with a bachelor of science in accounting with the 150-credit-hour certified public accountant track is Allyson Lancour of Rock.
Graduating with a bachelor of science in business administration-management is Paige Labre of Escanaba. Labre is also graduating with an associate degree in general studies.
Graduating with a bachelor of science in teacher education are Megan Robinson of Gladstone, Erika Silverstone of Escanaba, Amber Trombley of Escanaba and Gracie Wickham of Escanaba. All four graduates earned concentrations in grades PreK-3 and 3-6.

Graduating with a bachelor of arts in English language literature with a concentration in secondary teaching is Zoe Williams of Powers.
Lancour, Silverstone and Wickham graduated with summa cum laude honors, earning a 3.90-4.00 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. Robinson and Trombley graduated with magna cum laude honors, earning a 3.70-3.89 cumulative GPA on a 4.00 scale. Williams graduated with cum laude honors, earning a 3.50-3.69 cumulative GPA on a 4.00 scale.
Students completed their coursework through LSSU’s Escanaba/Iron Mountain Regional Centers, in partnership with Bay College, allowing students to pursue LSSU bachelor’s degrees on Bay College campuses.

MADISON, Wis. — Michael Delach of Florence, Wis., was among the 2,151 students who received degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison on Dec. 14. He received a master of business administration from the School of Business. The university had its winter 2025 commencement ceremony for undergraduates and graduates at the Kohl Center in Madison.

MANCHESTER, N.H. –Paul Burke of Crystal Falls and Rene Miles of Iron Mountain were named to the fall 2025 dean’s list at Southern New Hampshire University. The fall terms run from September to December.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the dean’s list. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring and summer.

MARIAN, Wis. — Among the students named to the Marian University president’s list and dean’s list for the fall semester are 2023 Iron Mountain High School graduates Carson McLean and Brett Ramme.

The president’s list and dean’s list is published twice each year with the names of all full-time students who have earned a 4.0 grade-point average for the president’s list and a 3.5 GPA or higher for the dean’s list.

LA CROSSE, Wis. — Emily Anne Hassell of Florence, Wis., received her bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in December. She studied communication studies, with an organizational and professional communication emphasis.

MILWAUKEE — Luisa Munoz Ozzello of Kingsford has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2025 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee. Munoz Ozzello is pursuing a bachelor of science in biomedical sciences.
To make the dean’s list, students must have earned at least 12 credits for the fall 2025 semester and have no disqualifying grades. The GPA threshold varies by college — for the College of Education and the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, undergraduate students must have at least a 3.7 to be named to the dean’s list.
The undergraduate GPA requirement is 3.5 for these colleges: the Diederich College of Communication, the College of Business Administration, the College of Health Sciences, the Opus College of Engineering and the College of Nursing. All other programs have a 3.75 GPA minimum.

MEQUON, Wis. — Paige Uren, a senior from Florence, Wis., studying rehab science — regular PT, was named to the president’s honors list at Concordia University Wisconsin.
The president’s honors list for the university is composed of those full-time undergraduate students who have completed a minimum of 12 combined undergraduate and graduate credits in a 16-week semester and have a minimum grade-point average of 3.75 or above.

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. — More than 1,880 students from Saginaw Valley State University earned a spot on the fall 2025 semester deans’ list.
Leah Winch of Iron Mountain was among those honored for academic excellence.
To be eligible for the deans’ list, a student must take at least 12 credit hours and carry a semester GPA of 3.4 or better.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Concordia University in Ann Arbor officials have released the fall honors list for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Local students on the dean’s list include Nicole Adams, a senior from Iron Mountain studying elementary education, and Madelyn Schmutzler, a junior from Iron River also studying elementary education.
The dean’s list for the university is composed each semester of those full-time students who have a semester grade-point average of 3.6 or above. Students must earn at least 12 undergraduate credits in a semester to be eligible; graduate credits are not considered for this honor.
