Thompson duo to perform Saturday at The Braumart

IRON MOUNTAIN — Tim and Myles Thompson of Nashville will appear Saturday at The Braumart in Iron Mountain.

The father and son acoustic duo takes stage at 7 p.m., with doors to open at 6 p.m.

The duo blends original, inventive arrangements and high-level musicianship. Their performances feature guitar, mandolin, fiddle and harmony vocals, moving between high-energy instrumental moments and slow, emotionally resonant songs.

TimThompson is a two-time International Fingerstyle Champion, bringing a rare level of technical command and musical depth to the duo’s sound.

Rooted in rock and jazz-influenced folk and singer-songwriter traditions, with additional touches of Americana and classic pop, their shows balance intensity with intimacy.

The music is paired with dry, understated humor — sometimes warm and family-oriented, sometimes wry and road-worn — creating a listening-room experience that feels both personal and alive.

Individually and together, Tim and Myles Thompson toured with Crystal Gayle, Wynonna, The Big Noise, Aaron Tippin and Pam Tillis, with Myles also touring with Robben Ford. They have also opened for artists such as Three Dog Night, Spyro Gyra and Don Williams, among many others.

That breadth of road experience shows up onstage in confident playing, sharp pacing, and a relaxed command of the room.

“Coming to Braumart directly from Nashville, this father-son duo will wow you with their accomplished musical ability,” Executive Director Jinx Brew said.

Tickets are $25 advanced online or at the box office or $30 at the door.

Starting at $3.50/week.
