GWINN — The 906 Chapter of State Employee Retirees Association will gather for a luncheon meeting at noon Eastern time Monday at the UP North event center in Gwinn.

The program will feature Zach Holloway of Blue Cross Blue Shield, the administrator of retiree health benefits for State of Michigan retirees, and attorney John Yonkers, who will advise retirees on elder law concerns in current days.

All State of Michigan retirees are welcome at the meeting and luncheon, which costs $20. Chapter 906 members can pay annual dues of $20 at the meeting.

The group will also accept nominations for three board of directors openings that will occur at the end of this year.

The 906 SERA represents all State of Michigan retirees, both defined benefit and defined contribution, in dealing with the State of Michigan in retirement concerns and health care.

The first-year membership is often provided by Hantz Financial, which will

make a short presentation at the meeting.
