ADRC of Florence County offers hikes for seniors
FLORENCE, Wis. — The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Florence County will offer a free hiking group open to active seniors older than 60.
Participants do not have to be Florence County residents. These hikes will take place twice a month from May through October.
Hikes will vary in terrain and length — most ranging about 2 miles. Participants should be comfortable hiking on potentially uneven and slippery terrain. Limited transportation is available for those unable to drive.
Everyone is encouraged to join the group in exploring Florence County, area waterfalls and other local trails in surrounding areas.
Registration is required. To register or for more information, call the ADRC of Florence County at 715-528-4890 or stop by the ADRC office 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday in the lower level of the Florence County Courthouse, 501 Lake Ave. in Florence.
