Longtime jewelry maker Lindquist featured at Art for All on Saturday

IRON MOUNTAIN — Heather Lindquist will be will be among the featured artists at Art for All on Saturday at City Park in Iron Mountain.

The 59th-annual event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lindquist makes jewelry and suncatchers using hand-collected Lake Superior beach glass, pebbles and driftwood.

She feels that each piece that washes up is being reclaimed; new, polished and jewel-like after years of tumbling in the frigid waves of Lake Superior.

Although she has been making and selling her jewelry for more than 30 years, it remains very popular. People can identify with the story of renewal.

The show will include a vast array of art pieces for viewing and purchase, including pottery, painting, photography, metal and wood sculpture, jewelry and more.

Picnic-style foods, prepared by the Bishop Baraga Knights of Columbus, will also be available for purchase.

Proceeds from a silent auction featuring donated artwork will go toward the annual Student Scholarship. This year, Results Broadcasting has donated four Milwaukee Brewers tickets for the silent auction.

Entertainment will be provided throughout the day by Datura, sponsored by M.J. Electric.

Attendees will have the opportunity to win multiple $50 prizes to spend at the show. Drawings will be at 11 a.m. and 1 and 2 p.m.

Admission to the show is free.

Starting at $4.00/week.
