Next Myle to play Music in the Park third concert

Next Myle

NORWAY — The Music in the Park series continues this week with the Iron Mountain-based band Next Myle performing at 7 p.m. Thursday at the bandshell in downtown Norway.

Next Myle was formed in 2003 with original members Paul Quello, Bill Bice, Kristen Nordine, Kevin Fraker and Darwyn Aberly.

Although the personnel has changed from time to time, the group remains dedicated to their goal of providing some of the best entertainment around. They strive to get folks “dancing in the street” and enjoying their music.

The band’s following has grown steadily, and they perform regularly at a number of regional events, including FlivverFest, Hodag Festival, Niagara Lions Club Picnic, Auburn Parks Association Picnic and many more.

Next Myle will play a mixture of classic rock music. “They’ll bring a fun show to the bandshell,” music/programming coordinator Greg Hunt said.

“We hope folks who come into Iron Mountain for this week’s Out to Lunch concert with Groove Candy, who gave us such a fun show on June 18, will enjoy the afternoon, have a nice dinner in the area and come on down to beautiful bandshell park in Norway for our third free performance of this summer’s fabulous series,” MIP Program Director Carol Sundstrom said.

Mother Nature didn’t derail the hearty crowd of live music fans who came down to the downtown Norway on June 18 for the second Music in the Park concert of 2026. Groove Candy, a group new to the series, was an audience pleaser and it was great to welcome them to Music in the Park, Hunt said.

Music in the Park is grateful for the financial support they have received from several organizations, businesses and individuals this year, without whom this concert series would not be possible. Major sponsors for 2026 include: Vulcan-Norway-/Loretto Lions Club, Holmberg General Insurance Agency of Norway, (this week’s spotlight sponsors); The Tourism Association of Dickinson County, Norway TDS Pharmacy, Loadmaster of Norway, Northern Interstate Bank of Norway, Steve and Debbie Tinti, Carrie Toretta-Partello, Coldwell Banker Real Estate of Iron Mountain, Jim’s Music of Iron Mountain, Preferred Powersports of Norway, Law Offices of Mouw & Celello – Iron Mountain, Darleen Asselin, in memory of William Asselin, The Norway Senior Center, Jeri’s Quilt Shop of Norway, Larry and Kathy Bourdeau, Jon and Nancy Sundstrom, Norway Township and the Curtis J. Brackett Community Foundation, and numerous individual and anonymous sponsors.
