Pottery artist to be featured at 59th-annual Art for All
Jeff Yuhas
IRON MOUNTAIN — Pottery artist Jeff Yuhas will be among the featured artists at Art for All on Saturday, June 27, at City Park in Iron Mountain.
The 59th-annual event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For nearly five decades, pottery has been both Yuhas’ profession and passion. A self-taught potter, he began his journey at age 17 while working part-time in a pottery studio near his home.
His work reflects 48 years of craftsmanship, attention to detail and an appreciation for the enduring beauty of handmade pottery.
Yuhas creates pieces that are both functional and artistic, blending traditional ceramic techniques with his own distinctive style.
His work has earned numerous honors throughout the years, including third place Best of Show at an art fair in Greenville, Mich., in 2001; Best of Show in Wisconsin Dells, Wis., in 2009; and top honors in his category at the 2024 Country Fair in Galena, Ill.
The show will include a vast array of art pieces for viewing and purchase, including pottery, painting, photography, metal and wood sculpture, jewelry, and more.
Picnic-style foods, prepared by the Bishop Baraga Knights of Columbus, will also be available for purchase.
Proceeds from a silent auction featuring donated artwork will go toward the annual Student Scholarship.
This year, Results Broadcasting has donated four Milwaukee Brewers tickets for the silent auction.
Entertainment will also be provided throughout the day by Datura, sponsored by M.J. Electric.
Attendees will have the opportunity to win multiple $50 prizes to spend at the show. Drawings will be at 11 a.m. and 1 and 2 p.m.
Admission to the show is free.
