FLORENCE, Wis. — The Wild Rivers Quilt Guild invites all area quilters and interested community members to attend its upcoming meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Florence Natural Resource Center, 5638 Forestry Drive in Florence.
This month’s Tips & Techniques program promises to be both lively and inspiring, with a round-robin showcase of binding methods. Whether binding is your favorite finishing touch or the step you dread the most, this program is designed to spark confidence and creativity.
Guild members will demonstrate three different ways to complete the edges of a quilt — binding by hand, binding by machine, and the facing technique — giving fresh ideas, practical tips, and the chance to see each method up close.
It’s a perfect opportunity to discover new approaches, ask questions and find the technique that works best, a spokesperson said.
The guild always welcomes guests and new members for an evening of learning, creativity and community.
