Combat heroes historical program Thursday at West Iron District Library
IRON RIVER — Adults are invited to enjoy a historical presentation on local combat heroes as part of the monthly Iron County Genealogical Society meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday at the West Iron District Library.
There will be refreshments available and you do not need to be a member of the society to attend.
“We will be sharing some of the stories and photos from local WWII services members and even a few stories from the Revolutionary War,” said Erika Sauter, program coordinator for the WIDL. “We are excited to collaborate with the Genealogical Society on this program and hope folks will come out to learn about the incredible heroism of our local service members.”
To learn more about what the library has to offer, call 906-265-2831 or email esauter@westironlib.org. A full calendar of events can be found on westironlib.org, the West Iron District Library Facebook page, or picked up from the circulation desk.
