The Kate Hinote Trio is a contemporary and unique alt-folk ensemble featuring Kate Hinote on vocals, Matthew Parmenter on violin and David Johnson on acoustic guitar.
Known for the melodic interplay between voice and violin, as well as creating dynamic and engaging indie-folk music, the trio performs predominantly original material, while weaving in a handful of retro and modern covers to which they have applied their unique sound.
The Friends of the Crystal Falls District Community Library will host an Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 11, immediately after the Bass Festival parade. Everyone is welcome to the library for ice cream and a bottle of water.
The Friends of the Library will raffle off an ice cream-themed afghan handmade by the Crochet Class. Tickets are one for $5 or three for $10. Purchasing tickets is a way for the public to support the Friends.
“Hopefully you can win yourself a beautiful afghan,” Library Director Evelyn Gathu said. “We do hope you come to the library to enjoy the events.”
