KINGSFORD -- The Dickinson County Community Chorus will begin rehearsing Tuesday, Sept. 8, for the upcoming “Sounds of Christmas” concert.
Rehearsals will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church, 395 Hamilton Ave. in Kingsford.
There are no formal auditions, but prospective new members should possess some knowledge of choral singing. Those new to the group are asked to arrive early so vocal ranges can be checked.
Regular attendance is required, with rare exceptions for unavoidable absences.
Please note: For the first time, the DCCC is asking for a $10 registration fee due to the rising cost of music. Participants are asked to bring $10 to the first rehearsal. The fee can be waived for hardship.
The children’s chorus will begin rehearsals at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, and continue on the same nights as the adult choir. No registration fee is required for the children.
