DCCC to present ‘Sound of Music’

The Dickinson County Community Theater will present the "Sound of Music" this weekend. Performances are set for 1 and 6 p.m. today and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Niagara School District auditorium in Niagara, Wis. Based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, the inspirational story follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision. The three-hour show will have an intermission. Cash concessions will be available. They will also have a 50-50 drawing. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and are available at the door.
