Eagle Harbor Art Fair returns this weekend

EAGLE HARBOR -- One of the Upper Peninsula's longest-running summer traditions returns this weekend as the 65th-annual Eagle Harbor Art Fair welcomes visitors to the shores of Lake Superior.
Th event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday on the grounds of St. Peter's By the Sea Church in Eagle Harbor.
The juried fair brings together about 70 artists representing 74 booths from across the Midwest and beyond. Every piece offered for sale is original and handcrafted, making the Eagle Harbor Art Fair a true celebration of fine art and craftsmanship.
Unlike many larger festivals, the Eagle Harbor Art Fair is entirely juried, ensuring visitors encounter quality across every medium. From fine jewelry, pottery and ceramics to paintings, photography, stained glass, woodcarving, textiles and mixed media, attendees have the opportunity to meet the artists behind the work, learn about their creative process and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces directly from the makers.
"The Eagle Harbor Art Fair has become one of those signature Keweenaw traditions that people plan their summers around," Visit Keweenaw Executive Director Brad Barnett said. In addition to the outdoor artist booths, visitors can browse artwork created by members of the Copper Country Associated Artists inside the church, including work by this year's featured artist, Jerome Patryjak, whose mixed-media creations explore pattern, texture and sculptural form.
The Eagle Harbor Art Fair has been organized by the Copper Country Associated Artists for more than six decades and continues to be one of the premier fine art events in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Its intimate setting overlooking Lake Superior, combined with a carefully curated collection of artists, creates an experience unlike any other in the region.
