East Kingsford reunion

1 min read

Janet Jacobson Maraccini organized a reunion of people who were East Kingsford born and raised during the 1960s and '70s. She recalled they used to ice skate at East Kingsford park, played baseball, slid down the metal slide and played neighborhood names like "kick the can" and "ghost in the graveyard," slid down Munday's hill, made ski jumps, swam at the train bridge, raided a few gardens, sat on the steps at Pucci's store, bought "penny candy" there, built camps in the foods, rode bikes, had birthdays at community hall, shopped at the Swanson's store and knew who the "Hooty Hooters" were. Betty Senatori was the oldest in attendance at 101 years and 8 months old.
