FLORENCE, Wis. -- The Florence County Historical Society has announced the results of its annual raffle fundraiser after the drawing Saturday at the museum.

Winners were drawn by Joan Spears, the local quilter who made and donated the beautiful "Amish Stars" first-prize quilt. The lucky ticket holder was Joyce Callahan, who happens to be Spear's cousin.

Other winners were: Leanne Wilcox, historical society gift basket; Stephanie Weber, wooden planter and Amish-style rug; Bonnie Holbrook, Women of St. John's gift basket; Debbie DeMur, USA insulated mugs; and Erica Hallgren, historical society gift basket.

The Historical Society thanked the donors of the prizes: Joan Spears, Matt Dagostino, St. John's Lutheran Church Women, Pattie Gehlhoff, and Ryan and Katy Chiamulera. They also thanked everyone who purchased tickets. The Historical Society sincerely appreciates the support they receive to help preserve and share Florence County history.

Time still remains to visit the museum this season -- it is open 10 a.m. to noon Friday and Saturday.
