FLORENCE, Wis. -- The Northwoods Geology Club will host a presentation by Esther Stewart on the Midcontinent rift at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Wild Rivers Interpretive Center in Florence.
Stewart is a bedrock geologist from the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey and a senior geologist at UW Madison.
Her focus is Precambrian Geology, specifically mapping Wisconsin’s oldest rocks.
The regular business meeting will follow the presentation. As always meetings are open to the public with no dues or fees. Door prizes given at every meeting.
