FLORENCE, Wis. -- The Northwoods Geology Club will host a presentation by Esther Stewart on the Midcontinent rift at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Wild Rivers Interpretive Center in Florence.
Stewart is a bedrock geologist from the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey and a senior geologist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Her focus is Precambrian Geology, specifically mapping Wisconsin's oldest rocks.
The regular business meeting will follow the presentation. As always, meetings are open to the public with no dues or fees. Door prizes are given at every meeting.
