IRON MOUNTAIN -- The Dickinson County chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel -- MARSP -- is offering mini-grants for teachers in public schools in Dickinson County for the 2026-2027 school year.
Three mini-grants of $250 are available. MARSP hopes that the opportunity to apply for an additional funds or classrooms will help staff to purchase equipment and materials.
The recipients of the mini-grants will be chosen based on the project being academic in nature and impacting many students. A representation of schools and grade levels will also be considered when choosing the recipients.
Applications have been emailed to each Dickinson County superintendent and principal. Applications may also be obtained from Jan Van Gasse, MARSP school ambassador, by emailing her at janicevangasse@gmail.com.
Completed forms must be received by Friday, Oct. 16. They can be emailed to Van Gasse or mailed to W5745 River Meadows Lane, Norway, MI 49870.
Mini-grant winners will be notified by Friday, Nov. 6.
