FLORENCE, Wis. -- The Florence High School TORPEDO Club has its cookout fundraiser from 4 to 6:30 p.m. today, in the high school cafeteria. The event was previously canceled.
TORPEDO, which stands for Together Our Responsibility Publicly Embraces Dedication and Opportunity, is a group of high school volunteers dedicated to serving the Florence community.
The fundraiser will feature Johnsonville brats, sirloin burgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies, dirt cups and a variety of drinks. Items will be available individually or as part of a meal deal.
Proceeds will support the club's community events and service activities throughout the year.
Last year, TORPEDO members volunteered 765 hours and participated in 39 local activities and events. The community support helps keep that momentum going.
The community is invited to stay after the cookout to cheer on the Florence Ladycats volleyball team during its 7 p.m. tournament game.
