Geology Club to meet Wednesday in Florence
FLORENCE, Wis. — The Northwoods Geology Club will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the upper level of the Wild Rivers Interpretive Center in Florence. Everyone is welcome to look around the center and/or help the club install new lighting for the mineral display. At 6 p.m., the group will move downstairs for the featured guest speaker of the month, Jake Kacynski of Coleman Engineering. Community meal to be served Sunday
NORWAY — Grace United Methodist Church of Norway will host a free community meal from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The menu will be scalloped potatoes and ham with dessert. There is no charge for the dinner, but a donation basket will be available for those who want to make a contribution toward the meals. Harmony Arboretum will host outdoor event Saturday
MARINETTE, Wis. — Harmony Arboretum will host a free morning of outdoor fun from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Children will enjoy a scavenger hunt and harvest party while exploring the gardens they have helped grow throughout the summer. Participants will learn how pollinators play an important role in producing the season’s harvest as they explore the garden beds.
