Geology Club to meet Wednesday in Florence

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Northwoods Geology Club will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the upper level of the Wild Rivers Interpretive Center in Florence. Everyone is welcome to look around the center and/or help the club install new lighting for the mineral display. At 6 p.m., the group will move downstairs for the featured guest speaker of the month, Jake Kacynski of Coleman Engineering. Community meal to be served Sunday

NORWAY — Grace United Methodist Church of Norway will host a free community meal from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The menu will be scalloped potatoes and ham with dessert. There is no charge for the dinner, but a donation basket will be available for those who want to make a contribution toward the meals. Harmony Arboretum will host outdoor event Saturday

MARINETTE, Wis. — Harmony Arboretum will host a free morning of outdoor fun from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Children will enjoy a scavenger hunt and harvest party while exploring the gardens they have helped grow throughout the summer. Post 145 to host breakfast Sunday
