KINGSFORD — Kandace Lynn Quick and Jereme Stephen Smith were united in the sacrament of holy matrimony at 1 p.m. on Oct. 7, 2017, at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Joseph O. Gouin.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Mary Lee and Mitchell Wiltzius. Ceremony readings were performed by Dustin Rodman, long-time friend of the bride, and Megan Barglind, friend of the bride and groom. The couple’s parents hosted a buffet dinner and reception at St. Anthony Catholic Church Hall in Niagara, Wis.

The bride is the daughter of Terry Jr. and Tommi Sue Quick of Aurora, Wis., and Brenda (Sean) Freeman-Franklin of Quinnesec. She is the granddaughter of Patti Freeman of Quinnesec and the late Duane Freeman, and Terry Quick Sr. of Quinnesec and late Kathleen Quick.

The groom is the son of Vern and Kim Smith of Iron Mountain. He is the grandson of the late Irving and Joanne Yaggie of Iron Mountain, Janice Gribble and the late Vernie Smith ll.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a Mori Lee A-line gown of ivory tulle. The gown featured a tiered ballgown skirt and a back accented with beaded straps. The dress was complemented by a beaded knee-length veil and embellished hair piece. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of calla lilies and eucalyptus.

Tia Fleury of Kingsford served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Paige Smith of Iron Mountain, sister of the groom; Haleigh Lusk of Quinnesec, sister of the bride; Vanessa Whittemore of Leslie, Mich.; Desiree Massicotte of Quinnesec, cousin of the bride; Stephanie Bush of Lansing, and Samantha Pietrantonio of Jacksonville, Fla., cousin of the groom.

The flower girls were lzzabella Buckman and Macey Pietrantonio, both cousins of the bride.

The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore floor-length, plum chiffon and mesh gowns. Each carried a handmade side bouquet of plum peonies mixed with accents of moss-colored flowers, complimented with curly willow.

Allan Barribeau of Kingsford, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Kyle Robinson of Iron Mountain, Dustin Rodman of Quinnesec, Marcus Feldpausch of Fowler, Mich., Brent Hostettler of Quinnesec, Jordan Maccoux of Norton Shore, Mich., and Andy Lauscher of Gladstone.

The ring bearers were Ian Spencer, cousin of the bride, and Logan Smith, nephew of the groom.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Kingsford High School. She obtained two years of higher education from Lansing Community College. She now works as the customer service manager at Range Bank in Kingsford.

The groom is a 2007 graduate of Iron Mountain High School and graduated from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor of science degree. He received his master of science degree from Central Michigan University. He works as a physician’s assistant at Aspirus in Crystal Falls.

Following their honeymoon in Fort Myers, Fla., Kandace and Jereme will reside in Kingsford.
