State offers environmental compliance conference
MARQUETTE — The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy will host the Northern Michigan Environmental Compliance Conference on Wednesday and Thursday at Northern Michigan University in Marquette.
This event can provide business owners, contractors and municipal officials in the Upper Peninsula access to premier compliance assistance, along with the educational sessions.
It also will offer a chance to engage in person with EGLE staff on navigating complex environmental laws and best practices for efficiency and sustainability.
Conference highlights will include updates on what the new EGLE agency reorganization means for Michigan, an overview on the state PFAS response, and sessions on environmental compliance issues such as asbestos, hazardous waste and brownfield redevelopment.
