Marinette woman gets $100,000 ‘Holly Jolly’ prize
MADISON, Wis. – Rachel Koeffler of Marinette, Wis., claimed the $100,000 top prize in the Wisconsin Lottery’s 2019 Holly Jolly Raffle. Rachel purchased her winning lotto ticket at Holiday Station Store, 4010 Marinette Ave. in Marinette.
The 2018 Holly Jolly Raffle winning ticket was also sold in Marinette County at Pit Stop Gas in Niagara. The two retailers are about an hour and a half from each other.
Rachel had purchased several tickets for this year’s Holly Jolly Raffle. On the Dec. 10 drawing day, she was checking her numbers on the Wisconsin Lottery website and couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw one of her tickets matched the top prize number of 025954.
It was a record-setting sales period for 2019 Holly Jolly Raffle tickets. Launched Nov. 1, 2019, the raffle sold out in just 26 days, marking the fastest sell-out of 100,000 quantity in Lottery history. The previous fastest-selling year, 2018, sold out in 31 days.
In addition to the top prize ticket, a total of 50 additional tickets won prizes of $1,000 each while 1,000 others won $100 apiece. Players can check numbers at: https://wilottery.com/games/raffles.
Winners at all prize levels have until June 7 to claim their prizes by mail or in person at the Lottery’s Madison or Milwaukee offices.
