Operation Action UP to have annual meeting Feb. 13

Operation Action U.P. will have its annual meeting beginning at 8 a.m. Eastern time Thursday, Feb. 13, in the Northern Center Ballrooms at Northern Michigan University in Marquette.

The four businesses that will receive the 2019 OAUP Awards of Excellence are Advanced Center for Orthopedics and Plastic Surgery, Bacco Construction, Hurley Marine and Trenary Home Bakery. The UPEDA nonprofit award winner is the Marquette Alger CTE Committee.

Attendees will hear from Brian Calley, president, Small Business Association of Michigan and former Michigan lieutenant governor, on the Michigan Entrepreneurship Scorecard Report; Gary Richardson, chief information officer, Vector Tech Group, on virtual currency; and Amber Pastoor, project manager on the Great Lakes Tunnel Project, Enbridge, with an update on the Line 5 project.
