IRON MOUNTAIN — Scott Sanders, a local Farm Bureau Insurance agent, has earned the Regional Distinguished Sales Award as the top sales leader in the Northern Region of Michigan.

Sanders will be formally recognized as part of Farm Bureau Insurance’s annual Multi-Line Sales Council Convention set for Feb. 19-21 in Traverse City.

“Scott is an outstanding agent who has helped provide security to thousands of people across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula,” said Don Simon, CEO of Farm Bureau Insurance. “He also offers a helping hand to his community through his volunteerism and leadership on behalf of many local organizations.”

Sanders is among only five agents in the state selected for this honor. Other agents recognized in their respective regions include: Dan Ochoa, Bay Thumb Region; Nick Cypher, Central Region; Mark Jarrait, Southeast Region; and Mark Hop, Western Region.

This is Sanders’ second regional-level DSA award. He also secured several other company-wide recognitions based on his success in various lines of insurance.
