BOSS Snowplow, Toro Foundation gives $10K to United Way

IRON MOUNTAIN — BOSS Snowplow, a division of The Toro Company announced the Toro Foundation has given $10,000 to the United Way of Dickinson County to assist with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

United Way of Dickinson County will be stewards of the money and will focus on health and humanitarian assistance in the Dickinson County area.

“Supporting our customer and communities is an important part of our culture and core to who we are as a company,” said Rick Olson, chairman and CEO of The Toro Company. “Now more than ever, it is critical that we come together to respond to the unprecedented challenges posed by COVID-19 and to support those most vulnerable in our communities.”

An additional element of the effort by The Toro Company includes a special program for its employees who wish to personally give to designated COVID-19 relief organizations. Under the program, The Toro Company will match employee contributions to a nonprofit organization of their choice in support of relief efforts.

The United Way of Dickinson County has served the area for more than four decades, starting as a Community Chest and Red Feather Organization before becoming known as the United Way. The United Way of Dickinson County was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1987. The United Way raises funds for agencies serving the human health and welfare needs of the area.
