The Mellon Chiropractic Clinic, 208 E. Hughitt St. in Iron Mountain, has been in business for three generations, since 1952. Patsy Waterman is the last surviving patient who has seen all three Mellon Chiropractic doctors in the practice. Waterman was born in 1933 and came into Mellon Chiropractic Clinic in 1953, when she was 20 years old. She saw Dr. Ambrose Mellon for treatment only a year after he opened the practice. When he retired, she saw Dr. Robert Mellon until his retirement and now Dr. Mike Mellon. Waterman is now 87 years old and an absolutely wonderful woman, a joy to see and treat each time she comes in, according to the clinic. She still lives on her own in her apartment. She says her chiropractic adjustments help keep her going.
