Bay College to host safety conference

ESCANABA — The Upper Michigan Safety Conference will be Friday, April 29, at Bay College in Escanaba.

This year’s featured speaker is Dustin Brighton. an ISA certified arborist with more than 20 years in the fire service, serving in various roles from firefighter to officer. He will speak on workplace accidents; who lives, who dies and why.

Roy Ness Contracting, VAST, PotlatchDeltic, and Billerud-Escanaba Mill are sponsoring this years’ featured speaker.

The full-day conference offers workplace safety and health presentations applicable for all industries.

The Upper Michigan Safety Conference is hosted by Bay College and sponsored by: Accident Fund Insurance Company of America, Aquilla Resources, Besse Forest Products Group, Champion Inc., CJ Graphics, Connor Sports Flooring, Enbridge Energy, Hy-Test Safety Shoes, Marquette Board of Light and Power, MARTOR, NMU Public Safety, Project Service, Inc., Systems Control, and UPHS Occupational Medicine.
