Czappa of Shear Happiness re-certified as canine behavior evaluator by AKC

QUINNESEC -- Staci Czappa, owner of Shear Happiness Resort and Spa in Quinnesec, recently was re-certified through the American Kennel Club as a Canine Good Citizen and STAR Puppy evaluator.
The STAR stands for Socialization, Training, Activity and a Responsible owner. Both it and the CGC program provide standards and expert instruction aimed at getting dogs and their owners "off to a great start" in learning proper behavior and obedience. Dogs that pass the CGC test can claim it as a title in AKC.
Czappa also is certified through the AKC as a temperament evaluator and has a bachelor's degree in canine science. She has titled several dogs at international levels, and has training classes in both private and group settings.
Czappa recently was certified in massage for canines as well and has a full-service dog spa, offering boarding, grooming, training and massage therapy. She is a master groomer and has won competitions in different grooming techniques.
Shear Happiness received the 2021 People's Choice award for best pet kennel and finished second for grooming. Czappa has been in the profession for 19 years, and opened Shear Happiness 14 years ago.
