IRON RIVER — The Fire Station Cannabis Co. opened its seventh storefront Thursday, this one at 231 N. Fourth Ave. in Iron River.

TFS Iron River will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central time seven days a week. It for now is open for in-store shopping only, though curbside pickup is expected in the coming weeks.

To commemorate the store’s grand opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place with the Iron County Chamber of Commerce at 2 p.m. Monday in the store’s reception area.

“Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are eager to welcome the people of Iron River into our store,” said Alicia Korcal, general manager.

Due to construction delays, work on portions of the building is still underway. TFS anticipates completion by the end of the month.

The Fire Station Cannabis Co. is a family-owned business owned by U.P. residents Logan Stauber and Stosh Wasik. The company was established in 2019 and has retail locations in Marquette, Negaunee, Houghton, Hannahville, Sault Ste. Marie, Munising and Iron River. An additional store is slated to open this year in Menominee.
