IRON MOUNTAIN — Eden Property Collection recently had a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors to showcase its new downtown rooftop terrace.

The terrace is at 208 E. Ludington St., on the rooftop above Sol Blu and Carlos Cantina. It was built to serve tenants of the Sandstone Studio apartments and is available for community use by renting for private events. It can be accessed easiest from Iron Mountain Street behind the copper top church building.

Attending were chamber members and the Eden team, including A.J. Murray, maintenance and construction manager; Claire Valeski, property manager; and Beau Anderson, president.

Eden Property Collection is a property re-developer that specializes in creating inspiring spaces to live, work and play. Started in 2017, Eden manages properties in three counties and four cities but mainly focuses on the core downtown Iron Mountain area where its offices are located.

“We are very excited to bring such a unique outside event space to the community, It took nearly four years from concept to implementation, but initial feedback has been awesome and we look forward to continually improving it and developing more events and uses for it,” Anderson said.

The terrace boasts nearly 4,000 square feet of useable space and can accommodate up to 180 people. The Sandstone Terrace and Lounge has ADA access from Iron Mountain Street and beautiful urban views for an outdoor venue.

Flexible seating arrangements allow the space to meet the needs of corporate events, private parties, weddings and music.

“The Sandstone Terrace is a truly remarkable space and completely unique to our area,” Valeski said. “We are beyond excited and honored to be able to provide this space to downtown Iron Mountain.”

Eden also recently acquired an adjacent indoor space that formerly was the Sandstone Salon. Plans are in place to upgrade the restroom facilities and turn the rest of the space into a “swanky” lounge capable of supporting food and drink service for the terrace.

Future plans also include a pergola system to provide sun shade and quickly add canvas coverings for inclement weather.

More information on the terrace as well as Eden’s other properties can be found at www.EdenPropertyCollection.com. Follow Eden on Facebook for announcements and events on the terrace.

Starting at $3.50/week.
