Crystal Lumber fundraising event Friday

2 min read

CRYSTAL FALLS -- Crystal Lumber, a third-generation family-owned and operated retail lumber and building material supplier, will celebrate its 70th birthday with a community fundraising event Friday benefiting the Iron County Fire Victims Fund.

Open to the public, the party will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Crystal Lumber parking lot at 1339 W. U.S. 2 in Crystal Falls.

"We're very excited to hold this celebration to honor our history and share our vision for the future, but more importantly, we're thrilled to have an event that gives back directly to our community," Crystal Lumber owner Chris Willman said. "I am hopeful that we can make this an annual event, supporting various charities in the surrounding area."

The party will include a classic car show by the Classic Farm Machinery Club of Iron County.

There will be food vendors, free cake, music and a free gift bag for the first 200 guests. Area firefighters will man a beer truck provided by Crystal Lumber. All proceeds from beer sales go directly to the Iron County Fire Victims Fund.

Crystal Lumber has been serving the northwoods since 1953 and is Iron County's oldest full-service, year-round lumber and building material supply center, featuring the area's largest kitchen and bath show room and offering a selection of cabinetry, counter tops and fixtures. Crystal Lumber can provide customizable residential drafting and design services as well.

Since 1953, Crystal Lumber has assisted in the construction of hundreds of new homes, thousands of remodeling projects and continues to give back to many community groups and organizations.
