IRON MOUNTAIN — The new TownePlace Suites by Marriott has joined the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce, which celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this month.

The TownePlace Suites project is the culmination of a four-year collaborative effort between Dave and Stephanie Brule and the Veridea Group of Marquette. It replaced a blighted property with a modern hotel that will contribute significantly toward the redevelopment of downtown Iron Mountain.

This $20-million investment features 95 suite-style rooms, meeting space, public lounges and more, the company said.

In addition to the numerous construction jobs it provided, TownePlace Suites has created 25 permanent jobs in the community.
