GREG SALMEN

MARINETTE, Wis. — The Stephenson National Bank & Trust has tapped Greg Salmen as its next president and CEO, only the 11th person to be president since the bank was formed in 1874.

Salmen joined SNBT in 2002 as senior vice president and trust manager. During his tenure, he has overseen all aspects of the investment management and trust services department, including financial planning, investment management, estate/trust administration and planning, and retirement planning. In 2014, he was promoted to executive vice president. Salmen was elected to serve on the SNBT Board of Directors in 2020.

A self-proclaimed South Dakota farm boy by background, Salmen has a bachelor’s degree from Southwest Minnesota State University. He attended the Graduate School of Banking, earning distinctions for graduating in the top 5% of the 550 professionals enrolled and receiving the Prochnow Educational Foundation/Wisconsin Bankers Association Scholarship. He is a graduate of American Bankers Association National Trust School, the National Graduate Trust School and WBA Leadership Development program.

His community involvement in this region has ranged from leading/serving on boards for area non-profits and his church, to coaching children’s sports and teaching Sunday School. His family is also a central focus, as he and his wife have three grown children and one grandchild.

The Stephenson National Bank & Trust is a 149-year old independent community bank. SBNT has offices in Marinette, Wausaukee, Crivitz, Pembine and Oconto in Wisconsin and Menominee in Michigan; along with a trust and investment office in Marquette and a commercial loan services office in Green Bay, Wis.
