FNB’s Lutz on 40 Under 40: Community Bank Leaders list

MATTHEW LUTZ

IRON MOUNTAIN — Matthew Lutz of First National Bank & Trust has been named to Independent Banker magazine’s sixth-annual 40 Under 40: Community Bank Leaders list.

The award by the monthly publication of the Independent Community Bankers of America recognizes community bank innovators, collaborators, educators, strategists, advisors and civic servants, according to a news release.

Lutz is senior vice president and chief financial officer at First National Bank & Trust.

“ICBA congratulates Matthew Lutz on this well-deserved recognition,” said Rebeca Romero Rainey, ICBA president and CEO. “Matt exemplifies the talent, dedication, and community spirit that define our industry. We commend his outstanding contributions and look forward to his continued growth and success as a community bank leader.”

The feature story in the June issue of Independent Banker highlights how the 40 Under 40 have navigated challenges and remained innovative while staying true to the guiding principles of community banking. Chosen from hundreds of entries, candidates were judged on character, leadership, community involvement and innovation. Bank technology services provider FIS, of Jacksonville, Florida, sponsored this year’s program.

“Being named to ICBA Independent Banker’s 40 Under 40: Community Bank Leaders List, alongside so many remarkable peers, is a tremendous honor,” Lutz said. “As a proud community banker, I am grateful for the opportunity to positively impact the lives of my neighbors, who live and work here in our community, alongside my colleagues at First National.”

“We appreciate this acknowledgment of Matt Lutz among ICBA’s distinguished list of community bank leaders and celebrate his accomplishments, which have earned his colleagues’ and customers’ respect,” First National President & CEO Russ Kassin said.
